Life Out of the Box
Life Out of the Box is about pursuing your dreams and doing what you love by stepping out of the typical box and making it happen no matter what. It’s one thing to be able to think differently, but it’s another to actually act on those thoughts. We want to inspire people to be doers, not just dreamers.
It’s also about giving back to the world while making your dreams come true. Our mission with Life Out of the Box is to not only inspire people in the first world to always go after their dreams, but to also give kids in the third world the tools to be able to do the same as well.
To see the kids we’ve given school supplies around the world to so far, check out LOOTB Gives.
To learn more about how the business side of Life Out of the Box works, check out The Business.

Its really wonderful to see people like you going to such height which very few people can think of. It takes lot of courage to do this. I have been thinking and thinking about mine but still not having that extra courage to follow the dreams. Getting inspiration now. Thanks
Just follow your heart dude. If its your passion you can’t go wrong. Have a great day!
I get all my ideas in the shower and have a little journal in the bathroom cabinet to write them down before I forget. I try to do something with of them:-)

Love your title and your blog concept, and I can see that I’m gonna need to set aside an entire day to explore what you are building here. When tomorrow looks back through history, I believe 2012 will be revealed as a landmark year in a major Earth transition (yes, the Mayans DID get it right!). “Life Out of the Box” is a prime example of the positive change and growth we need to continue as a species. ~ Jim
Thanks Jim. I am glad we all survived. I hope we can all provide positive growth in 2013 and beyond. Happy holidays sir.
All the superlatives have been used in prior comments. This is really creative and giving and just plain awesome. And I might not have found it if you hadn’t visited my blog. Thanks for liking my post. I’m going to be following your enterprise! Best wishes in the new year!

We do too 🙂
wow, really admire your business and business model. the website, blog, etc are really neat.
who makes the bracelets? how are they made? you could also highlight that aspect of your work and showcase the impact such work has on the people who make them. i think you already understand that industry is not about extracting work from people for profits but rather industry is for developing people through work for values… of course profits are bound to follow if this is done.
all the best to you guys for your endeavors. and thanks for visiting my blog.
best,
sam
Thank you Sam. Some of our bracelets are made by local families in town. We will write an article to show you and everyone who they are. We appreciate your comment and we are thankful for you thinking it is all neat. Have a great day Sam.
Following your hearts and setting such an amazing example for others who want to do the same but are scared to take the step is such an inspiration. Thanks for letting your light shine!

Pam that’s so nice of you to say. Just create that life you dream of. Its not easy but one step at a time. Sounds like your doing it. High five Pam. Your awesome.
Buenas and thanks for stopping by my blog and liking my post! I was an ex-pat myself several times in Mexico but had a purely “for profit” business, not that I saw any of the profit since it was lining the pockets of the Mexican government. Still, it was the best of times and I learned Spanish and made memories I’ll never forget. Here’s to you guys and my best advice: don’t ever come back to the US! I’ve regretted it for 15 yrs. Pues, disfruten la vida en Nicaragua…Alisa
Wow. That’s crazy advice but we get it. We will come back to visit friends and family but at this moment we have trouble seeing us settle down anywhere. We love our life on the road in Nicaragua because we love the journey of learning and exploring. Do you want to go back to Mexico right now?
Buenas otra vez,
I’d love to go back to Mexico! The US is all about “keeping up with the Joneses” and it’s not for me. Unfortunately, I’m sick now from a genetic disorder–what my blog is about in essence–so I’m stuck in iPhone land. I’ll pass this on: I’ve been to Morocco and LOVE the desert cities (I need an arid climate now), but it’s major culture shock/sort of restrictive for women–even this woman who can pass as a native and is a former ex-pat. Add Morocco to your list; it’s worth a push-pin on the map, especially since you’re males. Lots to export (all from artisans), but learn some French first. Spanish is spoken by most in the North, FYI. Flights daily out of JFK via Royal Air Maroc… Go for it!
Suerte, Alisa
Thanks we will look into it. Thank you again for all of your advice and perspective. We love reading your comments.
Thank you super much for the nomination. It’s awesome to be considered versatile. Thank you tons.
You two are really inspiring. In a world where all we see is governments and banks taking so much from ordinary people, it is wonderful to see two young people like you making such a difference in the world. All the best with you this business, I am sure I will be reading about you in Time Magazine some day.
Also thank you for liking my blog.
Thank you very much. We hope to accomplish great things like that one day 🙂
